Choices..again

Sometimes life is a false dichotomy of the black and white, light and dark, hot and cold, and what not. But more to reality, choices most often are not made between black and white, for these choices are clear and easy to make. Choices are difficult, thats why there are called choices. They are made in the shades of gray between black and white, where it is most difficult to untangle yourself in the correct direction to take. The principle is, for the greater good. But we must question ourselves, what really is the greater good. Knowledge to make choices does not make the process any easier, for your responsibility to make the right decision becomes all the more heavier. The politics of manipulating knowledge thus, is one that walks a fine line between truth and lies..

Life is a time for making choices, death is a time for remembering how we chose.. Sometimes not all choices that we make are pleasant. For one thing, we cannot see past our choices, being unable to penetrate the misty fog that obscures the future. Perhaps that is what defines the future. If you knew what lies ahead, would you change the future? But then, what you saw would then not be really the future, but only a possibility.. And if it is a foregone conclusion that you would definitely change the outcome, then what you saw cannot possibly exist in the first place. Then what is it?

What is it indeed? Would you change the future?
The burden of knowledge makes one lonely.
